I have dedicated more than 30 years to environmental activism in the search of a fairer society, clean and in balance with nature. The defence of these ideas took me to jail in 2009, during the Copenhagen Climate Summit, for interrupting a party and asking world leaders commitment to the planet. I joined Greenpeace in 1991, till 2001 I was international coordinator of the toxins campaign and later its director till 2011. After ten years as director of Greenpeace Spain, in 2011 I thought that, in addition to demanding our representatives green and clean policies, someone should carry them out. For that reason I decided, together with a group of people, to take action by creating EQUO, of which currently I am spokesperson.
