I was born on 8th August 1959 in Barcelona. I have a degree in Geography and History and I started work at the age of 17 as a journalist for the evening paper Catalunya Express. Since then, I have been connected to the press, as well as social activism from neighbourhood movements to institutions. I am a founder member of the Journalists Union, I participated in the negotiations that opened the door to photographers becoming part of the staff on all newspapers, and I defended workers in communication media closures.
My political life started when I was 16 years old, when I joined the Communist Youth of Catalunya. Later on I participated in the founding of EUiA and in 2007 of Alternativa Altafulla, a party for which I became town mayor in 2011 In 2006 I was appointed director general of Institutional Relations of the Generalitat. I am now placing my ability and experience of dialogue, negotiation and management at the service of a candidate list with which I would like to work so that the voice of Tarragona can be heard. I want to fight for the people and for a territory that has been the victim of institutional abandonment and which is threatened by the macro-project Barcelona World, to which I have been opposed since I was mayor of Altafulla.
